Advanced

For Single Handed and Double Handed Rods

For seasoned destination and advanced fly fishers :    You have been fly fishing for a while now and want to try more venues .  You may even want to try  fly fishing for coarse fish such as Carp where accuracy can play an important part, or the bigger predators. How about a destination trip? It may be as local as France or somewhere in Europe. It may be a far flung place on the other side of the world. This is the joy of fly fishing. My session for you will include:

  • A good and sound understanding of what was outlined in the Intermediates section.

Passport to Happiness 38lb Pacific Salmon

  • Problem fixing of any part of your cast, if required.
  • Improving your accuracy.
  • River fishing techniques.
  • Speys & Snaps.
  • Slack Line casts.
  • Giving you a wider range of casts for the required venues.
  • Greater line control coping with the stronger winds on the bigger still-waters and large reservoirs.
  • Instruction of  saltwater fishing (tropical & temperate) from a boat or wading.
  • Advising what equipment, tackle and flies/lures needed for your chosen destination and species.
  • Good communication of techniques needed to catch the required species from your chosen destination.
  • The benefit of my experience, having  been there and caught the required species.
  • Advice on which are the better lodges and tour operators to plan your trip with. This is based  on my personal experiences and from the people I have fished with and trust their judgement. Glossy brochures do not always convey what conditions are like at different times of the year, and indeed, how experienced the guides are, that will be there to help you. The right decision here will be the difference of “money well spent or money wasted”.
  • Email and telephone contact, so you can let me know your progress.
